  Jervis Bay

Jervis Bay is located 160 km's south of Sydney. The bay itself is a Marine National Park. The Shoalhaven-Jervis Bay area offers some of the best of rural and coastal scenery in Australia. Dairying, fishing and tourism are the main industries, creating a very peaceful ambiance. The sheltered waters of Jervis Bay provide a wonderful ocean 'playground'. Natural, unspoilt and secluded bays, clear blue waters and white sand beaches. Home to several pods of dolphins, the clear waters of Jervis Bay are great for diving and watersports. Dolphins, seals, little pinguins and migrating whales can be seen in the bay and there are many cruises on offer.

  NATIONAL PARKS
Jervis Bay has more magnificent National Parks: Booderee NP, Jervis Bay NP and the Beecroft Peninsula. You can make some delightful bushwalks and see an amazing variety of birdlife. The diverse landscape is home to a large variety of birds. Along the many trails and boardwalks in the parks you may see: Honeyeaters, majestic White-bellied Sea Eagles, Lyrebirds, Satin Bowerbirds, Lorikeets, magnificent Black Cockatoos (“Nowra” is Aboriginal for “black cockatoo”), and brilliantly coloured Crimson Rosellas, and King Parrots.

  BEECROFT PENINSULA
The northern side of the bay has some stunning scenery. The beaches are fantastic and the area is excellent for walking and cycling. From Myola you walk over the beach to Callala Beach or Callala Bay. The Beecroft Peninsula, near the entrance of the bay, has massive coastal cliffs. From the lighthouse you enjoy spectacular views of the bay underneath you. In the winter you can spot the whales from here. Beecroft has also a some beautiful, secluded beaches. One of them, Honeymoon Bay, is just a fantastic spot for a swim and a picnic.

  DOLPHIN WATCH CRUISES
The Currumbene Creek divides the Jervis Bay area is two parts. Myola, Callala Beach and Callala Bay are on the northern side of the bay. Opposite Myola, on the southern side are Huskisson and Vincentia. In Huskisson you can go on one of the Dolphin cruises. A pod of about 60 resident Bottlenose Dolphins live in the Bay all year round. It's a wonderful experience to see them close-up on one of the dolphin watching cruises. Huskisson is also a good spot if you're interested in diving or kayaking.
