  Myola - Things To Do

The best thing Myola has to offer it its natural beauty with its unique flora and fauna. The village is picturesque, set among tall gum trees on the tip of land between Jervis Bay and the Currambene Creek. A short stroll through the bush brings you onto kilometres of beautiful, quiet and safe beaches. The Currambene Creek runs at the back of the house and flows into the bay. Myola has good boatramp facilities where you can take your boat. The area is very popular with fishermen and there is plenty of activity on and near the rockjetty. In the town of Callala Bay you find a good sailing harbour.

In Callala Bay you can also book a trip on the Beach Daze, a 10 mts Sailing Catamaran. It can take up to 30 people and this 5 hour tour will bring you to the best beaches of the bay. You can swim, snorkel or canoe on the bay. Read more>

  SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

There are plenty of other things to do in the area. Callala Beach and Callala Bay have good tenniscourts. And you can play a great game of golf on the beautiful 18-hole golf course of Callala Beach.

The area is fantastic for cycling. You can make pleasant rides between Myola, Callala Beach, Callala Bay and Currarong. But even better are the excellent mountain-bike tracks in and around Myola. The Bicycle Users Group has set-out and signposted a number of trails that range from 'easy-going' to 'challenging'. So, take your bikes with you! We will supply you with good maps.

  DAYTRIPS
The Currumbene Creek divides the Jervis Bay area is two parts. Opposite Myola, on the other side of the creek, lies Huskisson. Huskisson and Vincentia are popular tourist destinations and good for a relaxing day trip. In Huskisson you can go on one of the Dolphin Boats. During the 2.5 hour trip you can experience the beauty of the bay from the water and enjoy the play and fun of the many dolphins that live here. In the winter and spring months you can do some exciting whale watching on the bay.

  SHOPPING
There are no shops in Myola, but Callala Beach (2kms) has a good cornershop, a pizzeria and a take-away. Callala Bay (6kms) has a modern shopping centre where you can buy most things that you need. Nowra is the central town for the area where you can do all of your bulk shoppings.
